Through dreams, I enter forgotten realms, distant worlds unknown to me. Yet as the boundaries between dream and reality fade, the unknown becomes familiar, and the familiar becomes estranged.

A sense of awe overtakes me when I behold this world that can only be revealed by my innermost self. Awe and fear appear to be two sides of the same coin; perhaps one cannot exist without the other.

Strange beings, unfamiliar sounds, and foreign scents converge into a savage procession. The horror of the unknown turns my dreams into a visceral experience, one from which I can no longer escape unharmed.

Rooted in fear, I delve into my innermost self in search of shelter.

Before long, I find a sanctuary where my inner turmoil finds momentary solace. My heartbeat slows to the rhythm of this obscure world.

As the sinister forces of this world make the earth tremble, I realise there is no way back for me. Fear gives way to belligerence as I resolve to conquer the darkest corners of my inner self.

My path unfolds ahead of me as my resolve strengthens. The mantle of fear that has draped itself over my innermost self lifts, revealing the true character of this dream world.

The beasts I dare not slay in my dreams follow me into what I used to call reality. The boundaries blur beyond recognition until I find the courage to confront them – the courage for my reckoning.
