Hello much treasured listeners and thanks for dropping by and tuning in to a release I thought I would never add to my sonic resume. Actually, I have never been a huge fan of live recordings as I prefer studio quality outputs, and I almost swore to myself never to “sink to that level”.

No rule without an exception however, and after having heard the rough recordings of our show on this fateful night in 2017, warming up for Danish progressive metallers Theory, we decided to have it all properly mixed and mastered, which was done by our drummer at the time, Lars “Screenshot” Strøm.

A fortnight prior to this show, we played a rather lame and tame show, to say the least, where our epic doom-laden rocket just wouldn’t leave ground. To top it all off, my amplifier practically exploded during the first track, from which we would never recover. That meant we had no expectations whatsoever to this Kolding-gig, which was to take us by surprise on all fronts.

We felt welcome from the moment we arrived at the venue and were escorted to our own private backstage room, which was actually a train compartment with a draught beer dispenser at both our convenience and disposal. Already before entering the stage, the audience was in a great and anticipating mood, and all we had to do in order to conquer the room was merely to plug and play at high volume.

On the wasted wings and the lukewarm beers of the attendants, we were practically carried through the entire set, and it just felt we could do nothing wrong on this special night, which still holds great memories to me.
