A collection of songs which begins with the image of shaking hands at college graduation, touches on significant experiences of young adulthood, and arrives at a hopeful look at a future spent in close community – all carried through with the notion of following the wind.
The majority of Advrb's recorded output before 2017's Antiquated Future-released 'LIKE LIKE' was produced in a hyper-productive flurry, documenting the tumultuous and romantic years in several albums and E.P.s.
Where 'LIKE LIKE' (
https://antiquatedfuture.bandcamp.com/album/like-like) had a set sonic palette and a full-band sound, 'WIND SCENE' was made more like a sonic patchwork quilt, a return to recording in old buildings, improvising arrangements, throwing any previous notions of what Advrb songs might try and do or say out the window, keeping the creaks and rustles in the mix – like the 2000s Pacific Northwest indie that first influenced the band.
Joined by backing vocalist Kellen Rose (who also appeared on 'Aloud,' 'Leaves,' and 'LIKE LIKE'), cellist Josh Bay ('Leaves,' 'LIKE LIKE'), and bassist Joshua James Amberson ('LIKE LIKE'), and featuring synth from synth-head/Poole Music experimental label guy Asher Woodworth (first recording cameo, but friends since the beginning) – Andrew and company created this compellingly unusual album of autumnal sounds, literary words, and DIY-lifer spirit.
A cassette tape & record label of slightly-skewed pop, indie rock, lo-fi folk, oddball electronic, and soundscape wizardry.
