Effused Skies is the fruit of a project which began in the Fall of 2021.What started out as an experimentation slowly evolved into a kind of go-to journal entry practice, and then into what you are hearing today, a full length album. These series, which I called "Effused Skies" were meant to be listened to as you would read a series of short poems, each verse feeding into the next one, and each poem opening up to the other. Like the turning of pages, each song contains seeds for the imagination and the heart to burgeon with. As such, my hope is that this music may gather a life of its own and flourish with each new listen.

These melodic compositions have at their core a sweet but sometimes melancholic innocence to them. Like a reminiscence of sorts, a nostalgia for the present already vanished, or the joy of rekindling a long-lost childlike wonder. By all means, Effused Skies is an orchestral ode to life, a colourful and evocative work, with moments of light and darkness, and with both polarities being at the service of a deeper appreciation of the poetry in things.

Auditive Escape is the musical project of Jean Patier. By merging trip-hop, neo-classical, and ambient genres, Auditive Escape creates deep and evocative compositions. Whether it is the subtle soundscapes, the entrancing melodies, or the carefully crafted rhythms, AE's music takes the listener through a rich sonic world.
