After successfully releasing 10 songs throughout 2020-2021, Auld Spells are back with a new single, Bought and Sold.

Lyrically, Bought and Sold is at its core protest song about humanity’s bizarre addiction to destroying the earth for temporary individual profit. Musically, the song is both heavily influenced by folk rock pioneers like Neil Young and The Byrds and by the sounds of dreamy psychedelia of bands like Spiritualized, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Deerhunter.

Auld Spells are an Edinburgh based dream pop band formed around a shared devotion to Scottish independent music from the 1980s and early 1990s.
