Bass Culture Players strikes back with its last release “Sunday Carnival”.
Sunday Carnival is a break of pleasure and freedom amidst of a whole year of abstinences. But this Sunday Carnival moreover holds the tension of a change to come, the overflow of that interlude, and the dawn of a new time.
After Temple Riddm's proclaims in spanish and compelling brass section, Dani Ites takes charge with his melodica in this second release of Dojo label. This musician form Barcelona offers a vibrant and energetic track over a Bass Culture Players riddim, which surfs from roots to 80s and 90s dub sounds. Puppashan delivers again a definitive and precise cut, adding the unmistakable Disco Inferno dub touch.
