"I really enjoyed working on remixes for Baxter's album. The production was really inspired, and the vocals had this ominous and cinematic quality that drew me in with a story I hoped to bring out in my remix, that is basically a chugging, dark disco stomper. I imagined Baxter as a character in a post apocalyptic thriller, he's got a couple futuristic pistols tucked behind his blazer, and he's just bellied up to the bar in a club that's on the wrong side of town. My ears are ringing like when the pressure changes on an airplane, and he's making eyes for the exits, but looking back at him is 7 foot tall muscle man with a ponytail and a bad attitude. Bounty hunter no doubt, and he's not here to make friends. Baxter will need a slow motion sequence to get out of this one, but our hero is not stressed. Another round on me ☝"

We’ve had two decades of Baxter Dury’s louche sardonic music, twenty years – twenty years! – of late-night London snapshots, shuffling basslines, comedown disco tunes, all run through with seedy bleakness and a sweet love for humanity.
