I recently picked up a Kawai K1 and was blown away by it's glitchy 8 bit sound.

The K1 is a pretty misunderstood synth. It doesn't command much value today because of it's seemingly ROMpler nature and lack of filter. Most people write it off immediately. This is exactly what interested me, and why I got one. What I discovered was one of the most naturally aggressive sounding synths I've ever come across. the AM modulation is just insane sounding, unlike any AM or ring mod I've heard before.

So, I've created a sample set with all of the cool sounds I came up with.

The signal path for this was my K1 > Manley Preamp > RME Fireface UFX > Ableton. I used a bit of limiting, but other than that, there is absolutely no external processing. This is as raw as it gets.

In this set you will find 189 samples. 10 are free here.

Also there are two tracks I made with the K1. The first track is made entirely with samples from this set, and the second is a track with the K1 and other instruments.
