At the helm of the highly-regarded Sector 7 Sounds since 2013, Boofy has fostered a strong sense of community amongst a close knit stable of artists with a shared drive to push modern soundsystem music forwards. Taekform is a more personal mission squarely focused on his sound, leading in strong with the three-deep opening EP We, The Talentless.

The experimental intention is upfront on the title track, which opens the EP in a skeletal flex of metallic percussion and warped low end primed for the more adventurous end of the dance. By way of contrast, '2W4U' lands a direct hit with the 4x4 thrust of its kicks and brain-snagging bass sustain. That doesn't mean it skimps on bold ideas, juggling a dense tapestry of sound around the addictive rush of the lead lines to make for a chrome-plated smart-banger perfectly pitched for a new phase of sonic exploration. '4045' moves the goalposts once again with a deeper focus on composition, placing introspective strings ahead of the rhythm section's focused hooks in the mix and telling an evolving story with each shift of the gears.

Throughout this new release, Boofy's grounding in soundsystem sonics binds everything together and draws a logical line back through his work to date, but there's no doubting the wider possibilities We, The Talentless sets out for this new chapter in his artistry.
