Hi everyone and a Happy New year to you all, so new year and a whole bunch of new releases planned for this year. This one is an absolute banger.

25 years ago Jon and I were in the studio working on these tunes, but never quite finished them for some reason, soon after we decided to take a break from recording, marriage, kids etc you know the score.

Fast forward to now and we here at BDQ have been looking through our old tapes, and low and behold we came across the old 1” tape that we thought was lost, so we thought lets have another listen, getting them off the old tape was a bit of a mission, but we felt that this 45 needed to be released on vinyl, we're so happy we did as they have both been the most fun to work on.

Side 1 is our version of the Timebox absolute classic Beggin’ this is one of my all time favourite records, which has been in and out of my Dj box for the last 40 years, the vocal on this is by the amazingly talented Sarah Orpen who we have worked with many times over the past 30 years, also to my knowledge there has never been a female version of this tune, and its turned out to be a banger, also featuring Bryn Barklam on Hammond, what’s not to like.

Side 2 is our take on the Mirettes version of Take Me For a Little While, we tried to keep this as authentic sounding as possible, and once again Sarah came up with the goods.
