Austin, TX cult noise rock kings, Cherubs, return with Fist In The Air, a brand new EP of good old-fashioned distorted noise rock. After releasing their highly regarded comeback album and first new recordings in over 20 years, 2 Ynfynyty in 2015, the band quickly re-entered the studio to record a set of new jams that add even more melody and hooks to their distinctly raucous yet infectious blend of blown-out rock n' roll. Produced by Mike McCarthy (Spoon, ....And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead) and including remixes by Les Savy Fav's Tim Harrington and $hit and $hine, Fist in The Air is another warm fuck you from the venerable Cherubs. Formed in 1992, Cherubs emerged on the Austin, TX, LSD punk scene with a jackhammer of nightmarish, rhythm-driven song structures and plenty of Butthole Surfers whimsy and terror to keep things more than interesting. Fast forward 20 years later and the band has reformed with more energy and songwriting acumen then ever.
