Marcus Henriksson a.k.a. Minilogue/Son Kite, Kuniyuki Takahashi, and J.A.K.A.M. have come together to create a large scale unit called Mystics. West meets East, three different sensibilities and passions that transcend borders and language. The debut album "5 ELEMENTS" is based on the ancient concept of the five elements (water, metal, ground, fire, and wood), and features unique guest musicians such as shakuhachi, koto, and Arabic violin, as well as King Tubby's dub effects by Naoki Uchida. With the addition of Naoki Uchida's King Tubby-style dub effects, the band has succeeded in creating an original sound that defies genre categorization. The result is an important work for 2021 that will give a ray of inspiration to the current chaotic world situation and music scene.


Marcus Henriksson a.k.a.Minilogue/Son Kite x Kuniyuki Takahashi x J.A.K.A.M. による大型ユニットの誕生、その名もMystics。 West meets East、国境や言葉を越え響き合う三者三様の感性と情熱、古代から続く五行思想（水、金、地、火、木　５つの元素）をもとに制作された本作デビューアルバム「5 ELEMENTS」は尺八、琴、アラビックヴァイオリンの世界的に見てもユニークなゲストミュージシャン達や、キングタビー直系のダブエフェクトを内田直樹に加えられ、ジャンルカテゴライズは絶対不可能な独創的なサウンドを作り出すことに成功。現在の混迷する世界情勢、そして音楽シーンに一筋のインスピレーションという光を与えることになるだろう２０２１年の重要な作品が完成した。

Marcus Henriksson x J.A.K.A.M. x KuniyukiによるユニットMystics。日本における音楽活動において精神面・音楽面も含め多大な影響を受けたと語るマーカ スが、友人の勧めによりJ.A.K.A.M.のヴァイナルに出会い、一聴して彼の大ファンとなったマーカスが共同での楽曲制作を申し出たのがきっかけとして制作が始まる。そして2011年mule よりKoss x Henriksson x Mullaert名義のアルバムをリリースしその後もセッションを積み重ね親交を深めてきたKuniyukiをメンバーに加え、2020年１月に初のLiveを東京で経て、2021年アルバムが完成。三者三様の個性がぶつかり融合する、その世界観を楽しんで欲しい。
