My fourth prog LP album on Bandcamp this year and my thirteenth overall. The artwork is a reference to a 70's prog album we all (hopefully) recognize. And it kinda speaks for itself. If he throws that tomato, would it ruin the "guy in a tuxedo standing on a rock holding divining sticks" piece... or would it turn it into a cult classic? Many times experimentation and random decisions lead to a work gaining a lot of character and artistic personality at the cost of being less cohesive or even a bit awkward. And that's what Deface and Embrace is about. It's about expression.

As always, in addition to the album being a 70's symphonic prog rock homage, I tried my best to throw in a lot of live instruments and custom designed software synth sounds despite the limited resources and shoestring budget. By the way of contrast to my previous record Vortex of Refuge, this one is anything but a concept album and marks the return to the 'obligatory 20+ minute epic and Polish-language song format'. According to my philosophy, whenever I can, I'd rather go for a personal sound (either made by me or heavily customized) that's a little rough on the edges than grab a pristine off-the-shelf premade stock ersatz thereof. Nota bene: I DON'T EVER use Generative AI! Anyhow, I hope you'll enjoy this album. Peace.
