DS029 Introducing First Day in Purgatory (DS029) by Patrick Arbez, the latest EP from label Darker Sounds. First Day in Purgatory sets the tone for the EP with driving cavernous beats, its big drums complementing a hint of shifting mechanical objects in the background. Asael is a sharp track with forefront haunting vocals slicing alongside a minimal, humming bassline. Zoroastrismus, the third track on this EP, is punctuated by hollowed drums and and adds an ambient flare with ephemeral effects and distant cries that perfectly complements Patrick's signature sharp aggressive style. Saurer Regen rounds out the EP with another showcase of subtle marching sounds that weave through the consistent, dark bassline and highlights its pared down beats with subversive hissing and piercing electric effects.

With a fierce release of 4 destructive pieces, Patrick Arbez presents First Day in Purgatory EP, a creative combination of forces and effects that are ready to deliver.
