In the late 1970's and early 80's Ms. Teena Marie began to take the U.S. Soul Charts by storm. Collaborating with her then Motown label mate Rick James, Teena had found her masterful sound. When her album "It Must Be Magic" dropped in 1981 it featured one of her biggest hits "Square Biz" along with this incredible song "Portuguese Love" which is probably my favorite from her, along with Rick's now classic "Fire & Desire." Teena aka "Lady-T" as she was affectionately called. Teena was simply pure soul and her music continues to stand the test of time. "Long live Lady-T" Let's Dance!!!
