The second album by Emily Barker, this time in the company of The Red Clay Halo, was recorded in live takes, producing a raw and exposed, honest and up-close album that journeys through folk-infused, country-tinged songs that makes one feel like they’re sat cross-legged in the middle of the circle as the band plays around them.

‘chamber-folk of the highest order’ – Rock n Reel

‘stripped free of studio frippery and all the better for its carefree simplicity’ **** - Q

‘stunningly beautiful’ – Electric Ghost

‘music that's going to take you away from the scummy smog filled streets and leave you in a warm forest dappled with green light shining through the leaves of sycamores and ancient oak’ – Unpeeled.net

Emily Barker is the award-winning songwriter and performer of the theme to BBC TV’s Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh. Her music is an indie blend of influences from alt-country to folk via 60s pop, with comparisons ranging from PJ Harvey to Joni Mitchell.
