Artificiant depuis une décennie dans l’antichambre du post-punk, après des dizaines de concerts éreintants et 2 EP cinglants, le trio bruxellois sort (enfin) son premier album, « Eau Rouge », le 21 février 2025, sur les labels Icy Cold Records (Paris, FR) et Rockerill Records (Charleroi, BE).

Prêt à en découdre avec la gentrification du post-punk, EMPEREUR distille à canon scié sa vague froide et binaire, et crache son venin aux allures de manifestes nerveux finis à l’acide. En mission pour ajouter du Chaos au Chaos, les fûts résonnent à l’unisson d’une basse aiguisée contre un mur de larsens. Viscéral, tranchant, le tocsin résonne et ça défouraille de tous les côtés. 3 minutes par morceau, c’est déjà trop pour hurler à la mort.

Forging their way through the post-punk underworld for a decade, after dozens of exhausting gigs and two blistering EPs, the Brussels-based trio is (finally) releasing their debut album, “Eau Rouge”, on February 21, 2025, through Icy Cold Records (Paris, FR) and Rockerill Records (Charleroi, BE).

Ready to take on the gentrification of post-punk, EMPEREUR unleashes their cold, binary wave like a sawed-off shotgun, spitting venom in the form of sharp, manifesto-like outbursts finished in acid. On a mission to add Chaos to Chaos, the drums pound in unison with a razor-sharp bassline against a wall of feedback. Visceral, cutting, the alarm bell rings and all hell breaks loose. Three minutes per track is already too much time to scream into the void.
