Before I got serious about music, I was serious about poetry. The way you can glitch out and shape language to find connection between disparate elements you express daily was something akin to holy for me for the longest time. The symmetry, the beat and flow.

I got into music via hip hop as an MC and slowly began to feel the same way about sound as I did with words, drifting to express poetry via constructs of compressed air rather than implied ones on the paper. As of late, I've felt the call to write again, but what is rust between ink splotches if not beautiful?

This album is dedicated to people writing out and speaking out their poetry. It was improvised in preparation for a poetry jam-event where I am going to play live music to set a stage for the poets to express themselves. Long live SNR!
