After two split EPs here's finally a full length album from Tübingen's 4 head Powerpop Combo. 8 Songs between Buzzcocks and Hans-A-Plast, sounding like the No Fun Records stuff from the early 1980s. The mixed German/English lyrics shuttle between life doubts, adapted subjects and people on the go, always with an irrestistible and beat-twitching tendency to drag you to the dancefloor. "extreme probleme" contains 10 songs in the vein of NICHTS, HANS-A-PLAST, IDEAL, NEONBABIES and BUZZCOCKS. They're sounding like the good old '80s releases on No Fun and Schallmauer Records with a modern, fresh hint. The upfronted female lead vocal totally reminds of NICHTS singer Andrea Mothes. Limited edition of 300, handnumbered copies on black vinyl.

Neue Deutsche Welle, meet snotty Midwestern Garage Punk. Derby Dolls manage to take the instantly addictive sounds of bands like the SOVIETTES and infuse them with the dance friendly hooks of german new wave acts like EXTRABREIT and IDEAL. Maybe it`s the other way around, but not matter which came first in this equation, the result is brilliantly written and undeniably good. Female vocals and smart lyrics sit on top of jangling aggressive guitars and a meaty rhythm section.
