Morus is a highly personal and experiential album inspired by the loss of Alex Despotidis' mother from cancer in 2017.
The narrative concerns the first realization of the passing of mother and ends in final farewell with the song "White Ward" and
the last picture of her in the hospital. The existential question "what happens after all this" is the main theme of the records along with the expression of feelings such as pain and suffering. Everything connects harmoniously with the final acceptance of the image of a person who loses the battle with life and begins the journey to Asphodel Meadows (White Valley), a section of the ancient Greek underworld where the majority of souls were sent to live after death. The music has been written by Alex Despotidis and the lyrics by Efi Eva, mixing and mastering by Psychon (Septicflesh) and the artwork, as well as the photoshooting of the band, by Dimitris Tzortzis.
