Fakear, AKA Théo Le Vigoureux, is the brightest star of France’s electronic new wave. A young producer whose music sits somewhere on the axis linking Jamie xx, Bonobo and Daft Punk, his globally attuned style combines deep, European house heritage with the sonic textures of the UK and American electronic undergrounds.

In a career that’s still only just getting underway and at the forefront of a burgeoning electronic scene that’s home to Superpoze, Thylacine and Dream Koala, he’s had a top 10 EP in France, hit the studio with M.I.A. after public collaboration calls, remixed American electronic stars ODESZA and AlunaGeorge, performed alongside Metro Boomin and Desiigner at this year’s FADER Fort (SXSW) and sold out Paris’ legendary Olympia. He blew away the audiences at Eurosonic and the USA’s legendary Ultra Festival, and played his song ‘La Lune Rousse’ live on French TV. The FADER premiered his song ’Sheer-Khan,’ Dummy premiered ‘De La Luz,’ and R1’s dance luminary Annie Mac counts herself a supporter.

All of which leads up to the release of his debut album, ‘Animal'. Fakear has crafted a collection of songs that push the emotional capabilities of electronic music another step forward. Taking in richly textured, bleeding edge electronica ('Sheer-Khan’), deep, downtempo soul ('Silver, feat. Rae Morris') and the ear-grabbing groove and infectious melody of the album’s title track, Fakear links ‘Animal’s' songs together with irresistible warmth.

The album shows his mastery of tempos, none more so than ‘Ankara’, a track to move both dancefloors and minds, and, on subtle, smouldering Andreya Triana collaboration 'Light Bullet', revealing he’s equally at home allowing vocalists to shine.

‘Animal' is the sound of a young producer with talent to spare, who’s crafted an album conjuring the best of a new generation of electronic music.

Having established a fervent fanbase in his native France, Fakear has gifted his globally-tuned dance music to an even larger audience after dates supporting Ninja Tune luminary Bonobo and labelmates ODESZA across the US and Canada. He’s made waves, garnering deserved notice from a consistently attention.
