Sam Shepherd aka Floating Points has shared a new single, 'Grammar' which is out now via Ninja Tune.
Last month Floating Points returned with his first new music since the release of Promises, last year’s celebrated album composed by Shepherd and recorded alongside Pharoah Sanders & the London Symphony Orchestra, which topped end of year lists everywhere including #1 spots from The Guardian (Contemporary), The New York Times (Jazz), Mojo, TIME Magazine, and more. The new track 'Vocoder' was met with widespread praise including a Best New Track from Pitchfork and a glowing review from Resident Advisor describing Shepherd as "one of electronic music's undisputed MVPs". Today's release of 'Grammar' continues this unstoppable and unpredictable run from one the the world’s most exciting producers.
It was also recently announced that Floating Points will be providing an exclusive soundtrack to long-term collaborators Hamill Industries' installation 'Vortex' as part of London's 180 Strand's Future Shock exhibition which will be held from 27 April 2022 until 28 August 2022.
