The Best Of - Electro Swing Vol.1 is a compilation CD and digital download album from Freshly Squeezed Music. Effectively a label sampler, it's a retrospective snapshot of the sound and spirit of electro swing's dawning moments, featuring some of the hottest and most influential tracks in the genre from the label that has come to define the sound more than any other.

"World leaders in putting a modern dance music spin on vintage records" as Mixmag put it, Freshly Squeezed have done more than anyone to push at the boundaries within the emerging genre. Having launched the seminal and award-winning compilation series 'White Mink : Black Cotton' in 2009 and the various spin off club nights, White Mink still remains the international gold standard.

The Best Of - Electro Swing features one-off singles, a couple of tunes from White Mink vol 1 and 2 and a few more obscure cuts. Tracks from the likes of The Correspondents, JFB (3 x UK DMC Champion) and Jem Stone (founder of Finger Lickin' Records on a swing tip) rub shoulders with Swingrowers, Swing Republic and more...; Vol 2 follows shortly and picks up the story...;.
