After a couple of years building the WREKT nights in Ipswich, it feels like the right time to take things a step further.WREKT is something Tom from Red Eye Records and I have put together, bringing people we respect down to Ipswich alongside local DJs and MCs. We’ve had Grooverider, Bryan G, Fabio, Storm, Sully, MC Blackeye and YT, with Jumpin Jack Frost and MC Moose up next.
Now WREKT has become a label too.
For our first release, I’ve linked up with Coco Bryce for four jungle tracks, moving through different tempos and flavours. Coco and I decided on a name for the project, CBD — Coco Bryce & Digital. It was too good not to use!
WREKT started with the nights, and turning it into a label feels like the natural next step for Tom and me. We couldn’t think of a better way to kick it off than this release with Coco.
