Since their debut release back in 2015, FYI Chris have unleashed a barrage of left-leaning club-focused music through some of the most respected labels on the scene. Although both being native Northerners, the two Chrises (Coupe and Watson) were brought together by a community of like-minded music heads in South London. During those formative years, informal musical collaboration was an integral part of the group of youngsters’ social lives, but things became more serious when the pair managed to get their hands on an MPC, the weapon of choice for some of their biggest influences. Jam sessions featuring a rotating cast of friends and family allowed the duo to experiment with a range of different genres and pieces of equipment in an atmosphere that was, in their own words, “not quite a band practice, not quite just hanging out and getting stoned.” Hot on the heels of their much loved debut album "Earth Scum" and the searing house grooves of the "Unreal Nausea" EP, FYI Chris return to their spiritual home of Black Acre for their latest release.

"All's Well" is a genre busting EP of MPC explorations and timeless deep soulful journeys. The main single "Midnight Parlay" featuring the uk dance scene's hottest new talent Ell Murphy is a classical exploration of what makes the Chris' label confounding beats so compelling. Watson: 'With Coupe and Ayesha having their first kid, we'd taken a break from jams for a year or so and both worked on various demos in the meantime, once Coupe got the OK, we got the chance to start co-renting the studio at Avalon Cafe in Bermondsey. Ell and Coupe were at Avalon working on the starting of Taking Back Tuesday ( named as we always jam on Tuesdays) and I came in late and mentioned the Midnight Parley track had lyrics I'd written while it was in demo phase, and could maybe work as a duet. Ell absolutely smashed it, it was a perfect session really. - 'Broken, Bored, Squishies, and Doner Lewe Donguan are all products of our Avalon Studio set up (pre-flood era) and were all a lot of fun to put together. Some of our best burners to date, in our opinion. a lot of tape, a lot of sampling. '

Around the same time as opening Rye Wax (with Tom Unlikely) Chris Coupe and Chris Watson
started hammering away on an MPC until something close to dance music emerged.
