Hate Meditation channels his inner kvlt demons: the more progressive natures of Nachtmystium's recent albums are gone for the time being, and Blake is back to playing dirty, malevolent black metal. The formula on Scars is basic, but the effective hook of the melodies and the command of tempo shifts throughout the album lets you know, without question, that this is Blake's music.

In 2012, Blake Judd revived his dormant project and recorded the full-lenght debut album Scars. It is a piece of ugly, filthy black metal that pays homage to the early 90′s Scandinavian sound heavily… Musically, Hate Meditation‘s future recordings will pick up where Nachtmystium left off.
