“Family of Patterns” marks the second chapter and a new beginning for Heads Above. They have continued to push their technically crafted, cathartic approach to Melodic Hardcore and find themselves pursuing new sonic ground.

This project exhibits Heads Above’s most proficient and versatile musicality to date, embracing new musical trajectories, melding various genres and exploring more progressive routes whilst maintaining their uniquely hard-hitting songwriting formula and narrative-driven lyrics that work as a continuation of the band’s first release, “You Speak To Me As Though I Wasn’t Living” (2024) and subsequent double single, “Rip & Tear” (2025).

Lyrically, this EP explores themes close to the hearts of the band members, deep diving into personal relationships, the importance of friendship, perseverance and venting a building resentment towards
bigotry and fascism.

FFO: “Stick To Your Guns”, “Callous Daoboys” & “Polaris”.
