Imagine travelling on the Bergen line from the west coast of Norway to the capital in the east, across the Hardangervidda plateau. Snow-covered rocks, glacial lakes, and birch forests whiz by outside your window.

Johanna Seim (Berlin/Bergen) and Sjur Nyvold (Rauland/Oslo) could be the soundtrack to the Bergen line's magnificent route. A journey where you can just listen and feel. With their blend of traditional Norwegian sounds and modern songwriting, Johanna and Sjur convey personal and intimate stories we can all relate to. It's about looking to the small to reach the big. Both in life and in music. Their soulful and honest texts in German, English and Norwegian carry a refreshing curiosity about the mysteries of life.

Their debut album "Temporary Pleasure" is intimate and down to earth, accompanied by melodious guitar finesse, delightful piano chords and captivating Hardanger fiddles. On the record they are joined by top-notch drummer Martin Langlie (Valkyrien Allstars), who added his distinctive rhythms that hammer a little extra in the soul. Bård Ingebrigtsen (Frøkedal, Valkyrien Allstars) produced and mixed the record, and now it is finally ready to be shared!

Johanna Seim and Sjur Nyvold share a love for traditional fiddle music, rhythms and the nakedness of the voice. They met in the small mountain town of Rauland, southern Norway, where Sjur grew up and had returned to after a decade of pursuing arts in Oslo, Tromsø and Berlin. Johanna had exchanged the buzzing life of her hometown Berlin for the remoteness of Rauland to study the hardanger fiddle.
