Working with Flume is natural. We both know our DAWs like the back of our hands, and putting together these sounds piece by piece was amazing and a great time.

Before Scaring the Hoes and I Lay Down My Life For You came out, me, Flume & a host of other artists worked together in his studio for about two months before STH was released. It was fun to just make beats in Ableton and play on the Prophet keyboard with one of my idols and have fun on the mic. I love producing and creating atmospheres to live in. It’s my lifesblood. Crafting a canvas for a speech is how it feels creating for me. And in my own music, I simply talk about my real life. But here, it was fun following Flume’s directions lyrically and having fun with his carefree theme. But me and Flume are artists who think forward when it comes to sound. So it’s deeper than words sometimes.

To us, if the MUSIC isn’t interesting, honestly, we don’t care what you’re saying. I know some people online only want to hear one-note production with guys rapping about vitamins or whatever fake-deep nonsense the internet gravitates to today. But that’s not what I’m here for, and I don’t think it’s what Flume is here for either. People looking for drug rap and bravado will be disappointed here. But in 2025, my purpose and focus go deeper than drug bars and lazy production.

I’m excited to show you how I’ve advanced in the future. For now, enjoy this moment I have with my brother.
