This is the 11th album released in 2009 by the guitar band that has been leading the Japanese alternative scene since the 1990s. This is the first album after the band's core guitarist and vocalist, Yamaji, overcame drug-related problems he had been having since the 1980s. It is a masterpiece that breaks away from the heavy and dark sound of the band's previous albums and returns to the 80's New Wave and post-punk roots of the band. Their characteristic psychedelic garage sound has disappeared, and the sound image is clearer and more open.
The pop sound of the band's career has been perfected as indie rock. After this album, they have continued their stable activities up to the present.
