“Ora-Cult” is a play on words which strives to establish the connection between oration and culture because the album draws its inspirations from the Karbi origin stories which have been passed on from generations through the form of oral storytelling. It is a tremendous and comprehensive effort to revive the forgotten tales and the epics, reimagining and retelling the myths and lores in the modern context bridging the primordial with the contemporary. It is an attempt to re-construct and encapsulate the rich heritage, sentiments and values of the Karbi people exploring new horizons yet retaining the native shell inviting the youth to partake in this revolution and pushing the envelope with a message.

Hailing originally from Karbi Anglong in Assam, the band was formed in Delhi in early 2017 by members also playing in other bands in the Delhi circuit (Dreamscapade, Trancemigrate, Drop The Void, Edit).
