The instrumental offering was compiled for listeners working through language barriers. Trans-lingual lyrics and South African colloquialisms are scattered all over the EP’s a-side, although the five songs are predominantly in English.

Here, vocals are muted and what remains is music that borrows from Fela & Tony’s Egypt 80, Basotho group Tau Ea Matsheka peppered with raps and Afro-Synth bits. Sungura comes through, thanks to an unknown Zimbabwean guitarist who Kwela met in Johannesburg where the latter works as a gardener.
