L’Avenir is the cold wave project of veteran electronic musician, sound and video artist Jason Sloan. Founded in 2011, L'Avenir explores Sloan's long time love of dark synth, new wave and electronic music created purely from analog and vintage equipment. Sloan is also a professor and current Chair of the Interactive Arts and Sound Art dept at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.
