Hip to the Javabean is Neil Cicierega's third album as Lemon Demon, and is commonly thought of as the first album of the "classic era." Having been long awaited since the last physical release of Damn Skippy in 2023, Hip to the Javabean is finally available on vinyl, CD and cassette.

Appreciation for the album has only grown more since it was re-mastered in 2023, as it's a showcase of some of spooky vibes that the hit album Spirit Phone is most known for, with songs like "Your Evil Shadow Has a Cup of Tea" and "Go to Hollywood." At the same time, "Telekinesis," the definitive version of "I Know Your Name," and "I've Got Some Falling to Do" (Neil's first song to ever be played on The Dr. Demento Show) bring the Lemon Demon comedy music stylings of the classic era. And "Sick Puppy" might be the most proggy song Neil has ever made. "I was listening to a lot of Mr. Bungle around that time." -Neil.

The vinyl, CD and cassette of Needlejuice Records' reissue of the album includes all of the socially acceptable bonus tracks of the original release in CD quality for the first time, plus the never-before-heard song "Spiders Love You (All Over Again)."

Needlejuice Records brings Hip to the Javabean to vinyl, CD and cassette, as well as new pillowcase and mug to go with it!
