8th instrumental solo album by Lex (de Kalhex) !

In reaction to the “Chill” Beats trend, “Quiet Elevation” title implies an inner and active experience of music listening.

“Quiet Elevation” reflects the artist’s interest for clothing, as a wordplay with Fashion’s recent styles (quiet luxury / casual elevation), characterized by understated elegance, refined simplicity, and high-quality materials. A list of qualities that could easily be applied to Lex's music.

With several meanings, the title also refers to Lex’s discreet journey into music since 2011, always willing to elevate sampling music with a unique deep and meditative touch. The apparently quiet and mellow vibes are counterbalanced by Lex’ heavy drum patterns and constant search of new tempos.

Lex aka Alex Besikian is developping his visual art activities in parallel of his discography for nearly 15 years. Being part of several art shows and book fairs over the past 10 years and notably working for the Japanese brand Sillage. This album is his first one which combines his own drawings and music since 2015 !
