Recorded during a scientific research cruise on board the RV Prince Madog near South Stack, North Wales in January 2017. Each track is based around a field recording made on the ship, the constant drone you hear is the engine.

Llyn Y Cwn is a field recording based dark ambient project with focus on atmosphere, immersion and environment.

Ben Powell has been making electronic music since the 90s, drawing inspiration from his native North Wales landscape and his participation on Arctic research cruises.

Llyn Y Cwn (Welsh - lake of the dogs) is a small lake at 715m in the Glyder mountain range of Snowdonia, North Wales.
