K2 (Ambient Cinematic 1987). This was my 3rd public release and added a second synthesiser to my arsenal, one of those new fangled digital FM synths, a Yamaha DX9! It took a while get the album finished, some of the material probably dates back to 1985. The first side is from a two track reel to reel, unfortunately I couldn’t find the second side and so it’s been digitalised from a cassette copy. I’ve included the original cover which was hand drawn (I no longer live at that address). Fun fact: the title “I sailed to meet her” was a title I’d had rattling around in my head since the 70s and came from mishearing the name of the master Japanese synthesist “Isao Tomita”.

I'm a UK based synthesist / electronic composer musically active since the late 70s, prior to 2020 I used my original name, Mark Griffiths. Having been interested in nature since I was young, the natural landscapes around me have had a profound influence. Much of my music now fuses acoustic with electronic instruments although I also have purely electronic music too.
