Mausiki Scales, keyboardist and founder of the Atlanta-based Afrobeat/Funk ensemble Mausiki Scales and the Common Ground Collective, elevates us with Ozim!, an electrifying single from his upcoming album. Ozim! an energetic chant from Ivory Coast, West Africa—is a playful and interactive call-and-response that beckons listeners to Get Involved! The chant is supported by an infectious, funky groove and a captivating marimba melody.

Each track, from the invigorating Ozim! to the soothing balm of The Traveler, stands as a testament to maintaining buoyancy while groovin’ down the river of life and serves as a resounding call to action and alignment. Long Memory spans a wide emotional range, offering everything from lively anthems to sacred, timeless tunes for rebalancing. As an added bonus, the project features a remix of Ozim! from NDATL’s Kai Alcé, further enriching the album’s soundscape.
