We contacted the band members as we thougth that this record deserved better... Cool tunes but...slightly not the sound “there”... We mixed the songs again and gave them a little bit more of air... the air that you breath out from the stinkiest putrid corpse in the dead pile... We picked up the worst and most stretched reel we had in our basement to master this too... so be forewarned that the sound won’t be appetizing for all palates. Dantula and Igor were pleased with the final results, so did the band... As the record states “listen under your own risk” or some shit like that.
We also suggested changing the album cover... it seemed a little bit “unprofitable” running these times... these dudes were OK about it. They said that the old artwork was “the worst cover in the entire Mephistofeles’ discography” and a poor excuse of a graphic design in order to rush the release... (Also due to public opinion and some harrasement in between) “Not our best idea by far...” they re-called some type of “inside joke”, I don’t know about that. But what I do know is that stoners are a bunch of freaks man... gotta love ‘em or hate ’em.
Can you imagine these guys throwing zero-fucks on such a cool record? cheap retro-satanic porn seems the “big deal” now... so why not? why not giving it a twist once again... nothing fancy, just eye-catching.
Now we think that the new layout speaks for itself together with the tunes, summoning dark vibes man... dark vibes... On behalf of the band: “This is what it should have been”... (Demetrios, june 2020)
