Love is transformation \ transformation is love. Losing little pieces, we give into the process of becoming. Change can be an intensely lonely experience: at times it feels like an ancient sea creature is dragging us to its cold watery depths to live there forever. But almost immediately again we can feel like a chance to deeply commune with other similarly morphing entities. Through a process called diagenesis, our organic (carbon based) lifeforms dissolve through pressure + time, eventually reforming as rocks. Along the way we exist together in the soil, underground, where we meld into mycelial networks, forming tendrils of communication extending our consciousness beyond our bodily capacity. Ultimately the universe is connected in a vast elemental cycle. I think love is cosmic glue holding it all together. When we lose a relationship, whether to another person or to an earlier version of ourselves, I think the most tragic thing is the loss of the shared dreams.
