Vaughn Benjamin, Akae Beka, Midnite. Prod by Nico Luminous

It was a true honor to meet Vaughn after a Midnite show in Portland, OR in 2005. I asked if he wanted to come to my house and record some music and he got excited at the idea, said yes and came over.
We ended making music all night until the sunrise and created this song. I went and overdubbed the guitar melodies and samples but left his vocals raw and unedited in the true Vaungh Benjamin Style.
This will always be one of the most memorable and mystical moments in my life. Especially when it comes to producing music.

He created the vocal melody/hook for the girls to sing and then improvised his entire 4-minute verse.

I'm forever Grateful for this experience and deeply saddened by his sudden passing but I know Jah has a plan for all of us.

Thank You Vaughn, the memory of this night is forever a treasure in my heart.
