A decidedly unhealthy serving of power noise from Violet Poison and Shapednoise's label. A-side features a pulsating power noise session called 'Delirium Tremens' by Orphx's Richard Oddie and the legendary David Foster (Teste, Huren) beside the jagged clank and distorted signals of Sunil Sharpe's Ground Skull Dust'. B-side holds the martial breakbeat techno and cyberpunk drones of Belgrade duo Ontal's 'Function', and Ascion's roiling, near-beatless 'Overture' - Boomkat
If you like your techno hard, then you'll already be well aware of the Violet Poison label. If you're not, then this will be some introduction. The Italian label spreads its wings with this release by inviting Rich Oddie and Huren for a special collaborative effort called "Delirium Tremens", a track which pulses and throbs like an Emptyset interlude - check this out for something a little less visceral than Oddie's Eschaton project with Ancient Methods. Next up is Sunil Sharpe who takes no prisoners with his gabba-stomping "Ground Skull Dust", which Ontal matches with "Function", only showering their version in distortion and ghoulish atmospheres. This EP also introduces Acion's new alias CSA with the beatless and sinister gurgle that is "Overture". Forward thinking and aggressive noise from the Violet Poison camp. - Juno
