This version of This Is The Road was recorded in January 1986 and recorded at Ashcombe House.

It's a song well known to some fans but never previously released.

The song opens with the line "Put on the dress in which you were married. Pull down the veil till your eyes are hid" which is a lyric also heard in the song Make Tomorrow and the Rated PG version of This Is Party Man. Of this repeated use of the lyrics Peter mischievously says "I was into recycling a long time ago!"

Peter Gabriel is best known as a musician. He started his solo work in 1975 after leaving his old school group: Genesis. He has released eleven solo albums and written soundtracks for three films.
Peter is now writing and recording, and working on a plan to create a streaming service for digital medicine and an Interspecies Internet.
