Tribute to Peter, shortly after he died, written by a lifelong neighborhood family friend and Apple Smax fan:

"Tough week for me as I learned a few days ago that one of my oldest friends has died. Peter was the oldest brother of 2 other boys and 1 girl, all dear friends that I knew since I was in the single digits. Our parents were friends, he babysat my little brother and me! Most of the first half of my life was spent with this family. Now, most of the kids in our neighborhood (particularly me) were major juvenile delinquents, doing anything and everything we wanted, no matter how much trouble we got in or how it embarrassed our families! Peter wasn't one of those kids. He always seemed to have his head on straight.

Instead of trying to figure out a way to steal alcohol from our parents, Peter was a passionate musician, an unlikely bass player of the biggest punk band in our town. Even though your other bandmates had the crazy look and played the part, you never did. You didn't need a look, you were Peter, and you could only ever be Peter!

I'll never forget when we took this photo about 10 years ago when David [Cifonelli, another lifelong family friend of the Wulff's] and I ran into you randomly at a bar downtown Chicago. We were so happy to see you! 'Peter Wulff is here?!? I LOVE Peter Wulff!' When I passed on the tragic news of your death to friends and family the heartbreak was instant, but the reaction was the same from everyone, 'just the kindest person!' I see how your brothers and sister have grown up, and can see your influence in them.

Everybody who ever met you liked you, which is a lot more than I can say for myself. You were like the literal angel on our shoulder, watching out for the Biltmore kids, popping out of nowhere with a, 'what are you guys about to do' when you saw Andrew and I about to fly a little too close to the sun. You weren't one of the best friends of my life, but you were one of the best people of my life, and the world is so less kind without you. God speed my friend."

It's a space to celebrate his memory and enjoy the music he created in the numerous bands & side projects he played in for 28 years as a multi-instrumentalist & songwriter.
