Extensive research conducted by the company salvage team has established that The Wyndham Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "the WRI") was founded in 2018 by ‹1 and J.G.Sparkes, two seemingly sentient terran creators specialising in the fields of radiophonic vibration and Bradburian synapse imagery. Commissioned by person or persons unknown, four audio 'cycles' - each distilled from the collective WRI subconscious - were used to ease occupants of the newly recovered stasis capsules into a 'receiving' state, allowing the onset of sub-REM sleep, essential for interstellar travel.

The occupants of said capsules have never been found, but the 'cycles', inexplicably augmented over time by ambient craft noise, play on in perpetuity.
