Nicholas Ryan Gant first burst into our consciousness with his incredible reimagining of the Crystal Waters’ classic “Gypsy Woman”, flexing his vocal dexterity and taking a song we all knew so well to a place we never thought possible. Karizma then added his Kaytronik remix for full lift-off.
It was clear from the start that Nicholas and Karizma had hit on a formidable partnership and that more music was sure to follow.
Following further collaborations, as well as bringing in label family Atjazz we are proud to present an extended EP of the fruits of their labour.
“Introducing Nicholas Ryan Gant” kicks off with another stunning cover version produced by Karizma, this time taking on Anita Baker’s “Sweet Love” and reinterpreting this slow-jam classic into a dance-floor bomb.
Atjazz handles production duties on “Good Thing” - supplying a bouncing electronic soul groove for Nicholas to show us another side of his vocal talents.
“You Are” (Karizma’s Reprise) takes NRG’s gospel-inflected vocals back to the club with a beautifully rendered filtered journey.
The package is rounded off with not one but two fire remixes of “Gypsy Woman” - the Kaytronik Flip slowing things back down with a killer Hip-Hop re-flex, and West Coast hot boy Coflo providing a tear-up house mix for the dancers.
