These dudes had been in bands with the 3 Out of 4 and Yak Saddle guys previously and had a couple of other names as well (American Standard, The Accommodators). I'd say they were kind of pop punk, but not in like a Fat Wreck Chords way. They had an almost Pegboy type of thing going on. My strongest memories of them are them playing tons of Misfits covers two years in a row at Halloween shows at this dude Mondo's place out in Cottonwood. One of those shows the singer/guitarist, Jeremy, was wearing a huge Christmas tree costume that looked impossible to play in and looked like he was drunk near death, but was shredding. Chauncey, the bassist, hosted a Redding punk radio show on Facebook during the pandemic that was awesome and he played tons of these bands.

The Accomondators/Banned were a really cool band and I often think of them as an example of a Redding band that likely would have been well known if they lived somewhere like the Bay Area. I have a vivid memory of seeing them at the Old Shasta School Hall after they changed their name and being blown away by them and how tight they were.
