'The Same Silent Hill' is the first collection of shorter riverrun pieces I have released since 2016's 'Romer Shoal'. As with many of the riverrun works, there is a predominantly coastal theme; the track titles here refer to locations in and around Poole Harbour in the South West of England. This is a wonderful, but relatively unknown, area that I visited and loved as a child, and which I have had the fortune to rediscover again, as an adult, in the past few years.

Daniel Land's riverrun project is a series of heavily-composted landscape recordings, that he has been working on for nearly two decades in parallel to his songs. Building upon the groundwork laid down by Brian Eno's 'On Land' album, riverrun's music painstakingly layers field recordings and reprocessed studio tracks into a deeply nostalgic exploration of geography and memory.
