Salt Lake Alley Returns with “Always Out of Time” – First Single from Their Upcoming Album
Stockholm’s indie pop torchbearers Salt Lake Alley are back with a brand-new single, “Always Out of Time”, the first taste of their forthcoming album of the same name. Known for their self-proclaimed “orthodox indie pop” sound, the band delivers a perfect blend of jangly, fast-strumming guitars, dreamy vocal harmonies, and a bittersweet atmosphere—hallmarks of their signature style.
A shimmering, heartfelt anthem, “Always Out of Time” captures the band’s deep love for classic indie pop, drawing inspiration from the likes of Felt, Orange Juice, Teenage Fanclub, and The Wedding Present. The track is both melancholic and uplifting, balancing urgency with wistful nostalgia—a fine demonstration of Salt Lake Alley at their best.
Originally formed as a duo by Gustav Tranback (Paper Hearts, Dismal Plight) and Mikael Carlsson (The Honeydrips, Dorotea), Salt Lake Alley has since expanded into a four-piece, now also featuring Fredrik Jalker (Boa Constrictor) and Thomas Aherne (The Garlands). Their upcoming album, “Always Out of Time”, promises to be a defining moment in their discography, solidifying their place in the indie pop landscape.
“Always Out of Time” will be available on all major streaming platforms on April 4. Stay tuned for more details on the full album release.
