Madeeha is a British-born South Asian singer and sound healer from Manchester. She embraces a musical style that emanates a celestial and soulful essence, carrying an ethereal quality.

For a number of years, she's been performing devotional music from various cultures in ceremonial spaces, and uses sound and intention as a powerful tool for healing the mind, body, and spirit.

One night In March 2022, Madeeha recorded an accapella vocal idea for "Still Standing Here" in a phone voice message, quietly singing into her phone to avoid waking the neighbours. She sent the idea to drum & bass producer from Bristol, DJ Mixjah, who then approached friend Sean McCabe with the idea.

Together they produced a hypnotic afro-tinged soulful backing track to fit with the voice message, with an intention to re-record it in a studio environment.

Sean and Mixjah soon realised that the music they had created blended perfectly with the sincerity, intimacy and rawness of Madeeha's heartfelt performance in the original voice message, and decided to stick with it.

"Still Standing Here" is a celebration of over-coming life's many challenges.

Bristol-based producer/DJ Sean McCabe made his name in house, remixing the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Evelyn Champagne King, Carolyn Harding, Blaze, and Roland Clark. Since then, he’s amassed an impressive discography of nearly 100 releases, delivering inspired reworks for labels like Local Talk, Strictly Rhythm, Vega Records, Tribe, and Quantize – plus an original solo album for Z Records.
